Mono o Estéreo? was born in January 2016, a Santiago duo formed by percussionist Loreto Ríos Montecinos and guitarist-electronic musician José Toro Concha. The band`s approach is a fusion between electronic music and experimental avant-rock, making a guitar and drum experience modeled in electronic key through sequences and loops.

In December 2017 the debut album CLICS was released via streaming. It has obtained important national and international recognition. Interviews in radio shows such as Super45 and Viaje sin Rumbo, as well as rotation on radio Valentín Letelier (Valparaíso) and Música de Color (Radio Zero). Within the appearances in written press stands out: Subterock (Lima), Bizarro.fm (Mexico DF) and Marvin Magazine (Mexico). Also, CLICS led Mono o Estéreo? to be nominated for Best Song at Indigo Awards 2018, Best Electronic Music Artist and Artist of the Year at Pulsar Awards 2019.

Within the live performances in the national sphere, it`s worth to mention various festivals such as Patahuilla 2016, En Órbita 2017 (as showcase winning band) and SamFest 2018. Additionally, the band has had several shows at venues in Santiago as well as tours around Chile (Valparaíso, Concepción, Pucón, Frutillar).

In 2019 MONO O ESTÉREO? was the band selected to represent Chile in one of the main European Festivals of the Music Industry, BIME PRO 2019 (Bizkaia International Music Experience), thus making their first European tour, performing in Spain (Bilbao) and Germany (Münich). The same year (2019), the band is awarded two MUSIC FUNDS, both for the realization of a SHOW STREAMING 2020, and for the phonographic recording of their second studio album.

In 2021 the band releases two albums on the prestigious Chilean label PUEBLO NUEVO, re-releasing their debut album CLICS and presenting their new remix album CLICSES, which features 14 artists re-imagining MONO O ESTÉREO? music.

Currently, the band has independently released their second studio album called CLAPS (2022), a project released through the award of a 2020 Music Fund.  In charge of sound engineering was Arturo Zegers, prominent chilean producer, at ESTUDIOS 050 (Villarrica, Chile)
